The popular social networking site has gone and upgraded their services, moving from the web-page space to the mobile phone page space.
Even more than simply being updated for mobile and smartphones, MySpace’s latest venture sees them venturing into the iOS app space with a music service that allows for music streaming from more than 53 million songs being available across the database.
According to Mediabistro, CEO of MySpace, Tim Vanderhook stated that…
”We tried to go after a bigger idea and give everyone in the world their own radio station, so artists can now have their own radio stations,” … “Now anyone in the world can become a DJ.”
This should prove to be very interesting for MySpace as they move into the music mobile space with ad supported streaming services. Hopefully it’ll give a voice to up-and-coming artists looking for their next big break.
