Apple has already won its case in patent court and has been awarded over a billion dollars, now they are looking to ban a few of Samsung’s products.
The list of products that Apple wants to ban is decidedly short, with only 8 devices that they are looking to ban in the US market, and most of the devices are fairly old. None the less, Apple’s recent landslide victory in court against Samsung may have given the company enough momentum to ban the devices they want to.
The hearing is to start on December 6th, but this hearing will only cover the handsets in question. Reports say that Apple will also be looking for injunctions on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 in a separate hearing.
If Apple wins this case, Samsung would not only owe Apple the billion, but would be prevented from profiting further on the offending devices.
