The new iPhone is rumored to be large than that of previous models, escaping the 3.5” screen norm to step it up to a 4” screen. That brings about the question: what will stuff look like?
The new screen on the iPhone, according to numerous leaks, is going to be a taller 4” but will maintain the same width as its predecessor, meaning that the device with have a widescreen ratio. The screen’s rumored resolution is 1136×640 (326 ppi) so older apps are going to have to adapt to that. What will that look like? What about apps that aren’t updated? These questions may be present, but a new video by MacRumors gives us a prospective answer.
Because of the 16:9 ratio on the screen, movies formatted to widescreen will show more information than previously possible.
Keep in mind all of the information in the video is speculative; none of it has any confirmation or official recognition. That being said, the video shows a very convincing model of what the new iPhone could look like.
