
Sprint has reduced the cost of the iPhone 4 as the impending release of the iPhone 5 approaches.
The cost of purchasing and activating a new iPhone 4S has been reduced by $86. The device normally costs around $199 for the 16 GB model, but the firm has decided to cut the price by $50 for the smartphone itself.
Online purchases, meanwhile, has also seen Sprint terminating the $36 activation fee; consequently, the accumulative price of buying an iPhone 4S has been reduced by approximately 37%. The prices of the 32GB and 64GB iPhone 4S models have also been slashed by $50, with online order’s activation being cut as well.
iPhone 5 is expected to launch on September 21st, with Apple set to announce the device at a press conference a week earlier on September 12th.
