Apple has issued invitations to a press conference on September 12th.
The aforementioned date has been highly speculated to be when the announcement of the iPhone 5 arrives.
The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and will commence at 10:00 AM Pacific (1:00 PM Eastern). Apple’s tagline on the invitation reads, “It’s almost here.” The image of said invitation, meanwhile, confirms the iPhone 5 by having the number 5 itself clearly displayed via the shadow beneath the “12″.
As for the iPhone 5′s release date, the iOS device was once again confirmed for a September 21st launch. A prototype of the smartphone, meanwhile, was recently leaked, which followed a batch of purported images of the next-gen iPhone itself.
