Apple Hints at 4-Inch Screen For iPhone 5

Apple has hinted at the fact that the iPhone 5 will indeed feature a four-inch screen.

The company recently commenced preparations for the iPhone 5′s announcement on September 12th, with a large banner displaying the company’s logo being displayed outside the event center where the press conference will take place.

After a closer look at the huge banner, it seems Apple itself has hinted at the iPhone 5′s screen size. Phones Reviews explains:

Initial glances at the decorations put up by Apple doesn’t seem to show any indications to what is about to be announced, but the company in the past has a history of hiding subtle clues about the upcoming hardware to be announced. Now an eagle eyed MacRumors reader has spotted what is believed to be stretched iOS icons that include iTunes, App and Music Store, and Game Center.

The image courtesy of MacRumors can be seen below and after playing around with it the site verified the reader’s findings, and found several icons that were clearly recognizable in their un-stretched form.

This could tie in with previous rumours that have suggested Apple would be releasing an iPhone with a larger display, which would be increased to four inches measured diagonally across the screen.
