Following Apple’s first batch of pre-orders selling its entire inventory in just a few hours after the iPhone 5′s pre-order page went live, another US carrier for the recently announced smartphone has experienced the exact same outcome.
The firm’s stock for September 21st has now been sold out, with the iPhone 5′s delivery page now pushing sales to “14-21 business days” – that’s nearly three to five weeks.Verizon, meanwhile, ran out of stock earlier today.
iPhone 5′s astronomical hype (so large it was that we knew how the iPhone 5 would more or less look like in its entirety before its unveil) has clearly continued beyond the pre-anticipation period where consumers eagerly awaited September 12th. So, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, then, that pre-orders for the smartphone has sold out at several carriers selling the next-gen iPhone.
The iPhone 5 officially launches in the United States and United Kingdom on September 21st.
