Accessories for the new iPhone have started to show themselves ahead of the official launch.
The iPhone 5 comes out on September 21st and, like any other iPhone, a wave of accessories are in tow. Even a whole week ahead of the launch of the iPhone 5 cases, mounts, and screen protectors are being produced. So what do we know is coming already?

Cases are a hot commodity in the world of iPhone and already more than a few are in the works. Proporta has announced a hard shell protective case for the iPhone in multiple colors (black, white, blue, or pink) and a soft leather case with a hard aluminum lining to protect the device from knocks and bumps.

Griffin has announced new animal-inspired silicon cases and a classy looking mustachio case, which is also made of silicon and is adorned with prints of mustaches.

Case maker Cygnett has developed a leather case that doubles as a wallet, aptly named the FlipWallet. The case holds the iphone in it, and flips open to reveal a slot for cash and a few slits for credit cards. The company has also worked to develop to stylish ICON – Haven case, which has prints by the animator behind Scarygirl Nathan Jurevicius.

Dicota has also developed a hard case made from hardened plastic, but is very thin. This design is to protect the iPhone 5 without making it bulky.

Otterbox has also updated its Reflex, Commuter, and Defender series of cases for the iPhone 5.

Cases aren’t the only thing coming for the iPhone 5 either. Breffo has developed a simple iPhone 5 mount called Spiderpodium that grips the iPhone and holds it up to the user.
These accessories are all adapted to the iPhone 5 of course, but non require a connection to the new 8-pin dock connector. We are sure once the iPhone is actually released we will see accessories galore.
