A recent benchmark test for the iPhone 5 has revealed the soon-to-be-released smartphone is more powerful than the fastest PowerBook ever made.
The 17-inch PowerBook, which was the machine that preceded the current MacBook series, weighed at total of 7 pounds, is an inch thick and would set you back $2,500. The iPhone 5, meanwhile, is less than a third of an inch thick and weights in at 112 grams.
Its Geekbench numbers saw the iPhone 5′s A6 chip delivering a score of 1,600, while it also costs “less than a tenth of what a flagship PowerBook would hit you back then.”
