Folks that own an iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad can freely find wallpapers anywhere. Looking over to the Apple Watch, the wallpaper market should take off soon due to watchOS 2. The second version of the Watch’s operating system allows users to use their own images as custom watch faces, and according to a Tumblr blog named Apple Faces, folks can do just that.
The new Tumblr blog by Stefan Poulos displays quite a bit of new Watch faces (44 to be exact) and lets you filter through if you are looking for a specific design. These specially designed wallpapers come in a variety of colors, styles, and themes. This allows users to match their Apple Watch with their style.
To obtain these wallpapers for you wrist-worn gizmo, use your iPhone and select the wallpaper you want. Once you’ve picked the image you want, hit the download button. You will be taken/redirected to a public Dropbox folder where you can open Safari Extensions and download the image to your Photo Library.
Once that is done, go to the Photos app on your iPhone and move the wallpaper to the album you use to keep/store images on your Watch. On your Watch, select the Photo watch face and customize it. Go to the new wallpaper and set it. If you downloaded more than just one, you can put them in an album that will cycle through them every time you lift your wrist.
And that’s how you set new wallpapers on your Apple Watch. In addition, if you feel like looking through some of the wallpapers on the site, you can visit applefaces.co to see all of the wallpapers.
