An O2 employee supposedly stole nearly a quarter of a million dollars worth of iPhone 5 units.
The O2 store in London had 252 brand new iPhone 5 handsets go missing at around 1.30 AM yesterday. Authorities are now tracking down a 23 year-old O2 worker who is believed to be the thief. iDB reports:
Apart from the shear audacity of the man, believed to be Usman Sethi of Illford, Essex, you have to feel for anyone who had queued up overnight only to be told that there were no iPhones to be sold that morning.
The site also notes that O2 presumably has a list of the IMEI numbers involved, subsequently leading to the stolen handsets being blocked indefinitely.
