Apple will be taking iPhone 5 preorders the same day it is reported to announce the iPhone 5.
A report that comes from Apple blog iMore, the same website that initially pegged the September 12th announcement date for the iPhone 5, today states that Apple will be taking preorders the very same day that the iPhone 5 is to be announced. This just a short 9 days prior to the rumored launch date of the iPhone 5 itself.
The tip came to iMore from familiar sources that last year provided accurate launch dates for past iPhone launches. Other reliable sources estimate the second wave of the iPhone 5 launch (for international audiences) to be two weeks after the US launch, October 5th. These launch schedules seem to line up with Apple’s regular launch schedule, even if the suspected launch dates are a little earlier than we are used to.
