The upcoming iPhone 7 is noted by several analyst, even the highly accurate Ming-Chi Kuo, to be much thinner and sport a water-resistant chassis. Although most fans would prefer better and faster charging over wireless charging, it seems like a feature that Apple will implement into the iPhone 7.
According to Fast Company, the source notes that the iPhone 7 will be waterproof with wireless charging. This information was already reported on in the past by many sources and analyst, so this information just adds on to the growing rumor of the iPhone 7 coming with a water-resistant chassis and wireless charging.
The phone will also feature a new “special noise-canceling” tech along with a slimmer build. These features are said to be integrated into the new phone due to the 3.5mm headphone jack being removed from the iPhone 7. The noise canceling feature is said to work hand-in-hand with Apple’s newly rumored wireless earphones/headset, which will help remove background noise in music playback and phone calls.
You can read what Fast Company had to say about this…
“Apple is working with its longtime audio chip partner Cirrus Logic to adapt the audio chipset in the iPhone to work with the Lightning port, according to our source.”
“Our source adds that the audio system will also leverage a new noise-canceling technology from Wolfson Microelectronics—a U.K.-based audio tech company Cirrus acquired in 2014. The software will be baked into the phone and also into the headphones that will plug into it, and will help remove background noise in music playback and in phone calls, our source says.”
Both the 3.5mm headphone jack rumor and wireless headphones were also confirmed by Macotakara, which coincides with Fast Company’s new report, as seen below…
“Some media reports have suggested that Apple will include a set of Lightning-connected EarPod earphones in the box with the iPhone 7. It’s more likely, our source says, that Apple will sell a more expensive pair of noise-canceling, Lightning-connected, earphones or headphones separately—possibly under its Beats brand.”
Something we do know that will arrive with the iPhone 7 is the new A10 processor, and iOS 10. In addition to iOS 10, it is rumored to let users customize the Control Center, improve contact management, transcribe voice mail messages with an improved Siri and much more.
