We reported yesterday that the iPhone 5 would be up for preorder starting September 12th, but if you’re lucky enough to live in Germany you can pre-order the device today.
According to a report by iPhone-ticker.de, pre-order tickets for the iPhone 5 are now being offered by Deutsche Telekom – Germany’s largest mobile carrier. The company has a history of allowing early preorders on Apple’s latest and greatest; last year they began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 4S a whole month before the phone was unveiled.
The new iPhone, a slimmer, sleeker, and larger version of yesteryear’s hot iPhone 4S is pegged to be unveiled at an event on September 12th prior to its suspected launch less than two weeks later on the 21st. If history repeats itself, as it often does, then Deutsche Telekom’s premature preorders may serve as an indicator that the speculated unveil of September 12th is, in fact, accurate.
