Apple has now made it possible to make donations for the Louisiana flood through Apple’s website, the iTunes Store and the App Store.
Apple is assisting in helping the many affected by the recent flood in southern Louisiana, working along with the American Red Cross, charitable donations starting at $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, and $200 can be made by visiting Apple’s website, iTunes, or the App Store. Apple has also added an American Red Cross donation button on the site to make donating right from your Apple device easy and fast.
Thousands of people living in the flooded areas have been affected by one of the worst storms since hurricane Sandy. Reports state that the storm was quite powerful, and hit hard and fast, more than 31 inches of rain was said to have fallen in 15 hours, and over 40,000 houses have been damaged, and thousands are without homes. Brad Kieserman, Red Cross vice president of disaster services operations and logistics states that assistance is needed more than ever.
