If you thought stealing candy from a baby was a common thing, think again. The new deal is apparently to steal phones from babies because it’s about as easy as stealing candy from a baby.
CCTV, the UK’s all-seeing eye, spotted a man reaching into a baby’s pram and calmly walking away after snatching the phone from the child.
According to the Daily Mail, the woman’s 20-month old child was watching Barney & Friends on the smartphone while she shopped around clothing store Hype, on September 22nd. According to the woman…
“I thought maybe she had dropped it, I never thought someone would go in her pram and take it off her,”…”I’m just glad it was just the phone and Luella was OK.”
Perhaps she’s mistaking the man for saving her daughter from the monstrosity that was Barney? There’s a reason why he was the most hated dinosaur of all time.
According to The Sun, the man wasn’t trying to deprive the child of that lousy purple dinosaur, Barney. They report that the man was in league with another female accomplice and followed the mother and her child around, waiting for the perfect opportunity to lift the mobile device like he was taking a phone from a baby.
Police called the suspect “despicable”.
