Apple has been taking a beating with the criticism over iOS 6 lately. Most of it has been over its Maps application with some about new Wi-Fi and App Store issues. A new report reveals another problem.
Microsoft Exchange, a program for messaging, email and setting up appointments, has a major bug when upgraded to iOS 6. The issue appears when users decline a meeting invention from an iOS 6 device. Instead of just sending a notification for that one individual it will send cancellation notices to the entire list. It is bad enough that at least one Fortune 500 company has asked its employees not to upgrade to iOS 6 and if they already have not to accept or decline calendar appointments until further notice.
The calendar bug has spawned a threat on Apple’s online support forums as well as another Exchange problem involving push email. Both Apple and Microsoft are aware of the issue, but there is no word on a fix from either of them at the present time.
