In a new ruling due to an appeal from Apple over patent infringement from the iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPad and iPad 2, the aforementioned Apple products can now be sold in South Korea, for now.
If it sounds confusing that’s because it is. Both Samsung and Apple took each other to court over patent infringement regarding their handsets and tablets in Seoul, South Korea. The original ruling back in August of this year saw Apple’s iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad and iPad 2 banned from being sold in South Korea.
According to Apple Insider, Apple has won a stay of ban due to appealing the original ruling, which enables them to continue to sell the handsets and tablets in South Korea for the time being. However, given the ongoing patent wars between Samsung and Apple, this probably won’t be the end of it.
