A few weeks ago, early adopters of the iPhone 5 were complaining about purple haze in their photos. Apple responded that they have to hold their phone differently to not let in stray light. One iPhone case manufacturer decided to take a different approach.

Fotofiox, an Illinois based case maker, has created an iPhone 5 case for just this purpose. It claims it can eliminate the purple haze from your pictures. It places a piece of black rubber around the camera lens to prevent stay light from reflecting off of it.

Most cameras and lens are susceptible to the flares that are seen in the iPhone 5 photos as well. The main difference being they aren’t purple, but it’s still a common issue. But just like a camera shade can stop off screen light sources from interfering with the shot, so does the camHoodie ($24.95) by Fotofiox. Take a look.
