A new version of Google Maps that was blatantly replaced in the latest version of iOS 6 — the operating system that launched with the iPhone 5 — is rumored to be in an alpha stage and scheduled to launch for Apple’s latest mobile OS.
Ben Guild claims some leaked, blurry photos of a new map app is from Google’s alpha version of an upcoming map app that could be the map app answer that many iPhone 5 users have been clamoring for.
According to the site, the app will include the much sought after two-finger rotation and will be vector based for easy navigation. It’ll also work “super fast” and make full use of the iPhone 5′s screen.
No date has been given on when the app will go live and it’s only rumored to be arriving. If it doesn’t come soon, you’ll be stuck with Apple’s app.
