Another report has surfaced stating that the iPhone 8 will have a polished stainless steel encloser in between the front and back glass plates.
The new report from Japanese blog Mac Otakara says that dubbed iPhone 8 will have an upgraded version of the Apple Watch’s stainless steel encloser. The report also says that the new handset will feature an OLED display with 2.5D cover glass along the edges.
In addition, the handset could sport a vertical iSight Duo camera that will be able to “take VR shots”. The vertical camera idea has been popping up over the past few weeks, the reason for the vertical camera is for VR purposes. As MacRumors states, when the iPhone is placed inside a VR headset the camera will be “positioned horizontally as customary”.
The iPhone 8 is said to launch later this year along with the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. Right now, these are just rumors and it’s best to take them with a grain of salt.
