In honor of Earth Day, Apple has added a new Activity Challenge for Apple Watch users, which is now available in the Activity app on the iPhone.
Starting today, Apple has added a new challenge for Apple Watch users to complete. Users will have to complete a 30-minute outdoor workout on Earth Day (Saturday, April 22) in order to receive the Earth Day award and stickers which can be used in the Messaging app.
“Get outside and celebrate Earth Day on April 22 and earn this award. Go for a walk, run, cycle, wheelchair, or swim workout of 30 minutes or more in the Workout app or in the third party app that writes these workouts to Health. You will also earn special stickers for Messages.”
This marks the third activity challenge Apple has added for the Apple Watch. Apple’s first Challenge was the “Thanksgiving Day Challenge” which required users to run 3.1 miles, followed by the “Ring In The New Year” Challenge which users had to close all three Activity rings every day for a week in January.
These activities are a great way to keep users motivated and encouraged to stay fit and reach their desired goals. Hopefully, Apple will continue to add these challenges throughout the year.
