Foxconn has been in the news a lot, but this time they’re not in the news for labor related discrepancies. This time, they’re in the news for not being able to keep up with the demand of iPhone 5.
According to Reuters, Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou stated that…
“It’s not easy to make the iPhones. We are falling short of meeting the huge demand,”
Apple has also contracted Foxconn to use a second plant to ramp up production of the iPhone 5, after workers were being pegged for being overworked to pump out Apple’s latest handsets to meet demand.
