New MacBooks Could Make An Appearance At This Year’s WWDC

It sounds like Apple will unveil more than just major operating systems at its upcoming WWDC next month. Reports are stating that Apple could launch new laptops and an iPad Pro.

A few days ago we reported that Apple had plans on launching a 10.5-inch iPad Pro next month at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. Now reports are popping up that Apple will unveil three new laptops alongside the iPad Pro.

The 12-inch MacBook will be updated with a new Intel chip which will make the laptop have a faster processor performance than the current model. Instead of making the current laptop more powerful, Apple decided to focus on the battery life which caused many users to complain since the current MacBook isn’t powerful enough to complete some of their desired tasks. It’s unclear if Apple will make the new MacBook powerful with a long lasting battery life or substitute one feature for another.

Also rumored is an updated MacBook Air and a new version of the MacBook Pro which are both said to sport new processors as well. Apple hasn’t refreshed its least expensive MacBook Air for quite some time, so it would be nice to see the laptop sport a sharper display and upgraded specs.

Based on the recent talk, Apple will launch three new MacBooks, a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and a smart speaker to compete with Amazon’s Echo. We’ll see if these rumors are true when Apple kicks off the WWDC June 5.
