A teacher at Lakeview High School in Michigan alerted police about her missing iPhone. Police were quick to respond and actually managed to track down the perpetrators thanks to the iPhone’s GPS.

According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, police followed the iPhone’s built-in GPS. The signal lead police to two young men, both 17, who were in position of the phone and marijuana.

One of the boys fled on foot, resulting in a chase that required police to hound the boy down. Both suspects were arrested and police managed to return the iPhone to the Lakeview High teacher. Score one for the good guys and for GPS cellphone tracking.
