Cops Catch Split-Tongue iPhone Bandit

by William Usher on

Thomas Nichols, also known as the “split tongue” bandit, has been arrested after allegedly ripping an iPhone 5 out of the mooring from a display at a Verizon store back in October.

According to The Signal, police have picked up 25-year-old Nichols and retrieved the iPhone.

Deputy Joshua Dubin stated that…

Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station remained diligent in this investigation, and an arrest was made late last night,” … “At this time no further information is being released, as there are possible other charges pending in this matter”

Nichols is not only being charged with the theft of the iPhone 5 from Verizon’s store but he’s also being charged for a “no bail” warrant and for violating his parole.

It should be comforting to know that police take the theft of iPhones so seriously.
