Police have really been on a roll lately with recovering missing iPhones…too bad they weren’t this diligent trying to find Jimmy Hoffa. Anyway, the latest missing iPhone case has been solved thanks to a small app called Find My Phone, which conveniently helped police find the missing iPhone.
CBS Los Angeles reports that Hollywood police (because this was apparently a high-profile case for them) found the missing phone with the help of a police helicopter and the Find My Phone app for iPhone handsets.
The app led police to a parked car at Santa Monica Boulevard and Virgil Avenue, where LAPD report that the phone along with other stolen items were recovered from the vehicle.
You never know when your iPhone might go missing. Be sure to grab the free Find My Phone app from the app store.
