There have been numerous photos of the new nano-SIM card tray that is purportedly apart of the iPhone 5, replacing the old mini-SIM card tray. And now we have video, which also compares the various purported components of the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 4S’ parts.
The repair firm SmartPhone Medic now has video of newly received iPhone parts, including the aforementioned nano-SIM card tray. The video does a side-by-side comparison of the new iPhone 5 parts against the previous model, the iPhone 4S.
The comparison shows the different sizes and definitively shows that the new SIM card tray will not be able to take the mini-SIM cards of previous iPhone models. It is several millimeters too thin to accommodate the old SIM cards.
The video also looks at the volume buttons and the power button and notes not much difference save in the coloring. The sizes are pretty much the exact same.
