If you’re a fan of Apple’s wearable, then you’ll be pleased to know that reports are stating that next month Apple will unveil the Apple Watch 3 alongside the iPhone 8, iPhone 7S, and iPhone 7S Plus.
A new report was released by CNBC stating that Apple will unveil the Apple Watch 3 this upcoming September. Unlike its predecessor, this will be Apple’s first wearable device to sport cellular connectivity which means you’ll be able to make calls, send text messages or stream music without having your iPhone near you.
This report links up with an earlier claim made by the almost always accurate analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who said that Apple might release two Apple Watch 3 models, a cellular, and a noncellular model. Both models will come in 38mm and 42mm sizes just like the current Apple Watch models.
Bloomberg reported that all four US carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile will support the LTE Apple Watch, however, there’s no word if UK carriers will support it.
Kou believes Apple will ship around 18 million units of the Apple Watch 3 with 40 percent of those models being LTE Watches.
We’ll know for sure all the features of the new wearable when (or if) Apple releases it at its September event in a few weeks.
