Apple Secretly Removes Some Color Options For iPhone, Apple Watch & iPad Accessories

Apple has quietly discontinued some of the color options for its iPhone cases and other accessories both online and in-store.

According to the Japanese site Macotakara, Apple has removed several color options from its Japanese Apple store and its online store. However, the company’s Japanese stores aren’t the only ones noticing the missing color options. It seems as if Apple has officially discontinued select colors for its accessories around the world, both the US and UK sites show that a few colors have disappeared, however, some of the missing colors in Japan are still available for purchase in these two countries.

In Japan, there are a total of nine iPhone case colors that have disappeared, 13 iPad Smart Covers, 18 iPad cases, 12 Apple Watch Sport Bands and 7 nylon bands. In addition, a few Nike and Hermes Watch bands color option have also been discontinued.

Why is Apple removing certain color options from its accessories? In a 9to5Mac report, a source informed them that Apple is “rotating out less popular colors.” The company could also be getting ready to make room for its new devices and their accessories which are expected to be unveiled in a few weeks.
