We all know about Apple’s iPhone X which features an edge-to-edge display, Face ID, and wireless charging, but talk and new images are popping up of what could be the iPhone X Plus.
iDrop News has created a larger version of the iPhone X which could be released next year. The images are based on a report that The Korea Herald published in late August. According to the report, Apple could release not one but two OLED model iPhones for the year 2018. The display sizes for the devices are said to be 5.85 and 6.46-inches, hinting that Apple will update the iPhone X and possibly release an iPhone X Plus.
Apple has already started development work with Samsung Display, which is the sole OLED supplier, earlier than usual.
“The development schedule has been advanced considering diverse factors such as funding, facility investment and production plans,” a sources close to the matter told ET News on condition of anonymity….Work for this year’s iPhone started in April, also earlier than usual.”
Other rumors have been popping up that Apple is planning on sells three OLED models next year or in 2019 depending on if Apple can secure enough OLED display units for its devices.
Time will tell what Apple has in store for us, but one thing that is certain is the kick off of pre-orders for the iPhone X will start in a couple of weeks.
