Apple Purchased Lightning Trademark From Harley Davidson

If you thought Apple came up with the lightning all on their own, think again. It appears that they had to share the trademark of the Lightning with Harley Davidson.

According to Gizmodo, the Lightning connector used to power Apple’s iPhone 5 and iOS powered devices, was originally trademarked by Harley Davidson and that Apple managed a partial transfer of the trademark for their products.

Supposedly, Harley Davidson’s previous trademarks covered motorcycles, motorcycle parts, electronic equipment, TVs and even computer programs.
