Speck Announced A New iPhone Case That’s Compatible With Scosche Mounts

Not too long ago, Speck announced a collaboration with another accessory brand called Scosche, to create a new Presido Mount case for the iPhone. The case was basically designed to work with Scosche’s lineup of MagicMount magnetic mounts that you can install in your car, to use as a prop for when you’re driving.

Scosche’s magnetic mounts typically require iPhone users to attach metal mounting plates to their iPhone or iPhone case using adhesive. However, the new Presido case includes two steel plates that are embedded between the layers of the case, so when it goes to charge on the magnetic chargers, it will instantly stick to it while it’s charging up.

And like Speck’s other Presido cases that they’ve come out with, this one of course comes with two layers that can keep your iPhone from getting damaged, even from a 10 feet drop. And that’s all because of the layers being made from an impact absorbing rubber that Speck calls “Impactium”, and an outer layer made from polycarbonate, that helps disperse shock from when it falls.

Speck’s new Presido Mount case is compatible with all cradle-free Scosche MagicMounts, and will be available for any iPhone 6-X some time in February for $44.95, at Speck’s official website.
