Tomorrow, users will be able to sign-up for an iOS beta of the popular free-to-play game Fortnite Battle Royale.
The creator Epic Games is bringing Fortnite Battle Royale to iOS and Android users, for both phones and tablets. Epic Games promises its players will receive the same experience they get if they were playing on a game console or PC, meaning the app will have the same gameplay, maps, content, and weekly updates as the console and PC versions.
Fortnite Battle Royale will allow cross-play and cross-progression between the PC, PlayStation 4, Mac, iOS and Android users so users can team up with their friends across multiple devices. Unfortunately, the Xbox One is not included for cross-platform games.
If a mobile player wants to play with their friend on PS4 or PC, cool! If a PS4 player wants to play with a PC player, cool! They should be able to. 🙂

If you’re interested in trying out the beta, sign-ups open Monday for the iOS Invite Event.
“Email invites will start rolling out soon thereafter. When you are invited, you will receive an email with a link to download the game from the App Store. If you don’t receive an invite right away, don’t worry. We’ll be adding more players regularly over the coming months.”
It’s important to note that users will need an iPhone 6S/SE or newer, iPad Pro, iPad Air, or iPad 2017 running iOS 11.
