Apple’s iPhone 8 Plus Has The Longest Battery Life Among All iPhones

Apple’s iPhone 8 Plus was the top iPhone with the longest battery life when tested among other iPhones. The iPhone 8 came in second place, both beating the iPhone X.

PhoneArena tested several flagship handsets for their battery life, those in the testing arena were three Apple handsets, the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X,  and Samsung’s Galaxy S9, and S9 Plus. The results were as following: The iPhone 8 Plus battery lasted 10 hours and 36 minutes, the iPhone X lasted 8 hours and 41 minutes, and the iPhone 7 lasted 8 hours and 37 minutes, very close to the iPhone X.  As for the two South Korean flagship results, the Galaxy S9 Plus lasted 8 hours and 22 minutes, while the S9  lasted for 7 hours and 23 minutes. PhoneArena found that the clear winner of the battery test was the iPhone 8 Plus.

The company Anandtech also did its testing, the results were as following: The iPhone 8 lasted 10 hours and 41 minutes, the iPhone 8 Plus lasted for 11.83 hours, the iPhone X lasted for 9.76 hours, and the Galaxy S9 Plus lasted for 10.48 hours. Once again, the iPhone 8 Plus had the longest battery life.

The iPhone 8 Plus battery sports a 2675 mAh, which by the way is smaller than the iPhone X battery which is 2716 mAh, just a side note that bigger battery doesn’t always mean longer lasting. The iPhone 7 battery is 1960mAh, iPhone 8 battery is 1821mAh, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus battery is 3500 mAh, and the Samsung Galaxy S9 is 3000 mAh.
