Reportedly Apple recently released a document warning Authorized Service Providers that iOS 11.3 and 11.3.1 are causing many issues with Apple devices.
Recently, two major issues have been reported by Apple users, both issues seem to be caused by iOS 11.3 and 11.3.1. The first issue seems to cause major issues with the battery life on iPhones. Users are taking to social media with this issue, some have reported while using iOS 11.3.1 their iPhone battery dropped from 58% to 7% in 3 minutes, while another report stated the software has affected some iPhones from charging properly, and yet some are reporting excessive heat build-up and their battery dies fast. At this point, Apple has not responded to these issues.
The document centers around another issue with iOS 11.3 and 11.3.1, it seems these two culprits are causing software problems that are breaking the hardware. Apple acknowledges this issue in the document, by warning its Authorized Service Providers that iOS 11.3 and 11.3.1 are crippling iPhones, it seems preferably the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, both handsets are reported the software leaves users unable to use their microphones during calls or be heard at all during FaceTime chats.
It seems the document states Authorized Service Providers should run audio diagnostics and devices that are affected will display “device could not detect dock” or “accessory not supported” if this display shows, service providers are required to initiate a repair for the iPhone. If you are experiencing any of the above issues contact Apple via phone, email or visit an Apple retail store for assistance.
