Talk has it that Apple plans to make changes on the upcoming 2018 MacBook Air, and it could launch the second half of 2018.
Talk has it that Apple could be making some upgrades and a price adjustment on the MacBook Air in the second half of this year.
Before Ming-Chi Kuo left his job at KGI Securities, he stated that he believed that Apple was working on a more affordable MacBook Air. Apple hasn’t added any major updates to the MacBook Air, but talk has it consumers should look for a few updates this year. If Kuo’s statement is true, then Apple will probably make minor upgrades to keep the laptop cost efficient. Another rumor stated that Apple wanted the new MacBook to be priced under $1,000, it isn’t clear if this is for a new MacBook, or an upgraded MacBook Air.
More rumors are stating that Apple may give the laptop a new design, add a faster processor (the last processor update was 2014,) it could also receive new graphics, Thunderbolt 3, and just maybe a bigger display. However, because of the rumor of Apple wanting to make a more affordable laptop, consumers should expect minor and/or fewer updates on the upcoming MacBook Air.
