Twitter has updated their Android and iOS app with photo filers.Powered by Aviary the update includes eight filters to choose from at present: Vignette, Black & White, Warm, Cool, Vintage, Cinematic, Happy and Gritty. The usual suspects of light and color augmentation should appeal to causal fans of iPhone photography. In addition, the update comes with an auto-enhance wand that automatically improves your photos for you.
Aviary, which supplied the filters to Twitter’s app, also powers the images editing capabilities of Flickr, Yahoo, Box, Squarespace and Walgreens.
The new touch ups, according to Twitter’s blog post, include:
• Filters – apply one of eight filters, ranging from black & white to vintage, to add a new look and feel to your photos
• Take a bird’s-eye view – see how each filter would affect your photo in a single grid view, or swipe through looks to compare your options
• Frame the action – crop and pinch to zoom in order to focus attention
• Auto-enhance – make your photos pop with balanced light and colors by tapping the wand
In addition, Twitter released a video in the style of a 50s informational.
