Apple has confirmed it’s to remove YouTube completely from iOS 6.

The YouTube application has already been pulled from the latest beta of iOS 6, and they’ve now told The Verge that the app won’t exist upon iOS 6′s official release.

iOS 6 beta 4 has seen the exclusion of the YouTube app for both the iPhone and iPad, but it still exists for Apple TV. Apple said:

Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.

The YouTube app has been present on the iPhone since the original Apple smartphone was released.
