The Verizon powered app, Redbox, is currently undergoing closed-beta testing for select iOS users.
The service enables iPhone users to stream movies over their iPhone not unlike one of the largest digital distribution services out there…Netflix.
According to TUAW, the Redbox app is accepting some mobile users in their testing phase for the upcoming release of the movie streaming service for Apple’s mobile handsets.
When the Redbox Instant app eventually leaves testing and becomes available for everyone you’ll be able to pick up a digital copy of the app from the iTunes app store. Thankfully it doesn’t have a price tag and you can grab for free. While there’s a description of the app there on the page it’s currently unavailable for mass consumption at the moment.
