With only four days on the market behind it, Imangi Studios managed to rack up more than 20 million downloads for their endless running title for iOS.
The game is a simple 3D, over-the-shoulder view running game where players run through twisting and winding environments. Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi commented about the massive success of the game in such a short amount of time, saying…
“The response from fans has been overwhelming,” … “We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months.”
The game’s massive success has already spawned tie-ins with sports apparel and JEM Sportswear, a board game from Spin Master and comic books from Ape Entertainment. Imangi Studios will probably enjoy a lot more success with Temple Run 2 as it continues to grow like the second coming of Angry Birds.
