Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, has let loose some good news for investors regarding the company’s older handsets: They’re still selling well.
According to a breakdown from Forbes, Tim Cook mentioned during the investor conference call that…
“iPhone 4 was actually in constraint for the entire quarter and sales remained strong”.
By “constraint” he means that out of the 47.8 million iPhone handsets that the company moved throughout the previous quarter more than 20 million of those handsets were iPhone 4 variations. That’s right, the previous gen iPhone still packs a punch in the sales bracket and made up for almost half of the total sales for Apple’s smartphones.
According to Forbes, some analysts believe that the iPhone 4 will continue to move strong numbers up and through the March quarter. We’ll find out soon enough after March rolls around.
