Former iTunes Engineer Testifies That he Worked to Block Competitors

A former iTunes engineer who use to work for Apple has testified in court, that he worked on a project that “intended to block 100% of non-iTunes clients.” Earlier this week, the two plaintiffs in the iPod DRM lawsuit against Apple were found to be illegitimate, but Judge Rogers decided to continue with the case provided the plaintiff lawyers were able to find a new plaintiff.

Could an iPhone App Replace Your Driver License?

The state of Iowa is reported to introduce the first Driver License application, this was reported by the WallStreetJournal on Friday. Still in development for iOS devices, the app is said to be a companion to the physical identification cards, instead of replacing the plastic driver licenses. There is talk that it will soon arrive in 2015, but some speculate that some setbacks (due to security and privacy concerns) had occurred. It is unknown if this state-endorsed app will be released as suspected.
