evasiOn has released the iOS 6/iPhone 5 jailbreak.

The official iOS 6/iPhone 5 jailbreak — evasiOn — is launching tomorrow.

The long anticipated iOS 6 untethered jailbreak is now 91% complete. The evasi0n website has been updated, the team has now completed testing and is doing final preparations to release the tool. Although the rumor-mill kept pointing at a Sunday release date, that is not going to be the case.

The Evasi0n website has been updated once more, it is now at 85%, the team has completed the first major round of testing with the Windows and Mac OSX tool. The team has been making a lot of progress with the jailbreak but they still have some more testing to go.

If you’re excited about the upcoming untethered iOS 6 jailbreak “evasi0n” you’ll be excited to hear the newest development update. As you all know the Evad3rs team officially announced the tool yesterday and there has been a huge response from eager jailbreakers waiting to get their iDevices running iOS6 jailbroken.
The team has posted an update to the tool bringing it to a 68% completion rate. This is great news for jailbreakers as the Windows and OSX GUI has been completed and the Linux version is almost complete. All that is left is the private-beta testing that the group has planned.
To our knowledge the team plans to hold the beta testing within a closed group of people to ensure that no leaks make it out while the tool is not polished. We also believe that the tool is likely to be released on Sunday February 3rd, due to all the icons within the iDevices being set to the number “3″.
We will keep you posted on the status of “Evasi0n”!
