New iPhone App Allows Twitter Notification Widget

iPhone users will now be able to download a Twitter widget app called “NC”, which displays content and messages through the iPhone’s Notifications center. The iOS Developer Akhil Tolani, is the one that created the NC Twitter app and is currently charging about $1.99 for the download.
What exactly does the NC app do? It allows you to view your Twitter timeline and mentions from your lockscreen or inside any active app so that you can quickly get updates from your friends and followers with one simple touch. This means that you can access Twitter and all your favorite content without quitting the game you’re playing or closing out other apps because the widget works straight from the Notifications menu.

You still will not be able to pin the widget to your main home screen for instant updates without having to push a button- which is a common widget feature among rival Android devices, but iPhone widget developers are starting to get pretty creative to find ways around the iOS limitations by utilizing the Notifications center to allow more freedom and control over what they can do with widgets and how they operate. I’m sure you will see other similar widgets start to pop up soon.

The NC Twitter widget currently runs on iOS 8.0 or later and is compatible with iphone, iPod touch and iPad devices. They also say that the app widget is optimized to run for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus devices. For more information or if you would like to download the NC twitter app, you can visit the NC Twitter app by following the provided link- NC iTunes page.
